From Brassy to Classy! A Pharmacy Lamp Makeover

As usual I was browsing a local thrift store when I ran across this pharmacy lamp that needed some lovin'.  I was thrilled to find a lamp in such good condition and for just $15, it was a steal compared to a similar version sold here for $693.

It was a little too brassy for my taste and had some bruises that needed healing, but we could manage.

I removed the base of the lamp so that I could use a hammer to lightly push out the dent.

I figured that Rub-n-Buff is all the rage at the moment, so I decided that I would try it out.  I wanted to give the lamp a more expensive bronze look.  It was a total DIY disaster!  It didn't work at all for me.  My husband said that I didn't have the buffing technique down....well whatever! I was on to my next option.

I decided to go with good ol' metallic gold spray paint to give it the look I was going for and it turned out perfect!  No fail here!!

  1. I love it!!! Gorgeous lamp, and that's my favorite spray paint :)

  2. Thanks for sharing this at the Pinworthy Project Party, I would love to find something with these kind of lines!

  3. In my example, I have three worksheets in my spreadsheet file: DLA, Tricare, Combined. I had company totals by year in each column for both DLA and Tricare.malegra DXT
